Roadside Media Advertising

OUR INVENTORY

i-media's roadside media network puts digital screens directly onto the UK's petrol forecourts and EV charging hubs reaching drivers where they stop to refuel or recharge.

What is roadside media advertising?

Roadside media advertising places digital screen salong major UK roads to engage drivers, commuters, pedestrians and fleets as they pass by.

For i-media, that means digital roadside signage built directly into the forecourt and charging environment itself: roadside advertising boards motorists see while filling up, plugging in, or paying.

What are the benefits of digital roadside advertising?

Digital formats turn a stop for fuel or charge into a media moment: flexible, contextual, and hard to ignore at short range.

Captive, short-dwell attention. Positioned right where drivers stop to refuel or charge, roadside advertising boards reach an audience with nowhere else to loon for those few minutes.

Speed and agility. Digital roadside signage can be updated, scheduled, or swapped remotely. No printing, no site visits, no lead time.

Full-motion, contextual creative. Unlike static roadside, advertising signs, digital formats can use video, animation and live triggers such as time of day, weather, or even fuel prices, to keep messaging relevant.

Together, these advantages make digital roadside advertising a format built for short, high-attention moments, repeated millions of times a week across the network.

Advanced ANPR Targeting

Why choose i-media?

With 92 unqiue towns and exclusive access to EV hubs, i-media sells reach that other operators simply don't have. This means new ground, and genuinely incremental audiences.

Proven incremental reach

With advertising presence in nearly 200 towns, and exclusive presence in just under half of that, i-media has access to locations no other OOH owner does.

Direct access to EV audiences

i-media's EV charging hub screens give brands access to a highly valauble, directly targetable audience.

One partner, full network

Our roadside screens sit within i-media's wider ANPR-powered estate, so the same campaign can extend into our motorway service area and retail media locations too, all through one connected planning process.

Where does i-media's roadside advertising network operate?

i-media's roadside advertising network runs on a nationwide partnership with Motor Fuel Group (MFG), spanning 257 forecourt sites across England, Scotland, and Wales. The network carries 278 roadside digital screens at forecourts, plus a further 26 screens across 7 dedicated EV charging hub locations. 304 screens in total, and growing rapidly.

Independent industry data shows i-media present in 199 of the 613 towns covered by the RD6 format nationally (32.4%), with 92 of those towns exclusive to i-media, meaning no other RD6 operator can reach those audiences at all. That places i-media second among all RD6 media owners for exclusive town coverage.

This gives brands genuine nationwide reach at the pump and the plug, from major trunk roads to local forecourts, all managed through the same connected network as i-media's other ad formats. Because that footprint sits in different locations to traditional town-centre roadside networks, it also delivers genuinely incremental reach on audiences other RD6 operators simply can't offer.

Our EV charging hub screens engage a distinct and valuable audience in their own right: EV drivers are typically more affluent than the average motorist, and further ahead of the curve in adopting new technology and brands. As EV ownership continues to grow, i-media's charging hub screens let brands reach this audience directly and specifically, rather than only as a subset of the wider forecourt network.

Urban OOH (bus shelters, street furniture, transit posters) reaches pedestrians and short-distance commuters within a city. Roadside advertising is built for the moment drivers are already stopped: refuelling or recharging at forecourts and EV hubs along major roads, rather than passing at speed.

Roadside screens sit right at the forecourt itself, often within or beside the on-site convenience store, putting brands directly in the path of drivers before they walk in to pay or browse. That proximity makes roadside media particularly effective at driving footfall into forecourt retail.

Yes. With forecourt and EV-hub sites spanning England, Scotland, and Wales, campaigns can be planned around specific regions or corridors, or scaled nationally across the network, depending on the objective.

Yes. i-media's EV charging hub screens are a distinct part of the network from our wider petrol forecourt estate, letting campaigns reach EV drivers directly and specifically, rather than simply being folded into a broader forecourt buy.Yes. Roadside advertising suits brands with a natural connection to the fuel or charging moment - automotive, EV, motoring services, food and drink, insurance - as well as any brand seeking national reach among drivers and commuters, backed by data-verified audience targeting rather than a single local footprint.
